Digital Librarian

We are a lucky lot to go through grad school with the use of the internet. My mom, who has a journalism degree, reminds me of this often, when she reminisces about trying to research and write articles without this vital aid.

Digital Librarian is a great resource. It lists online databases of primary source documents, photos, etc. as well as collections from folks like PBS. The history page lists sub-categories such as African Americans, Middle East, and Women’s Resources. You’ll also find links to online newspapers, magazines, and other cultural productions relevant to the category.

If you’re lacking inspiration for a research project, browsing these collections might turn a light on. Sometimes it’s best to start with the sources and go from there!
